Yolian Ivanov - Southern Europe
Dr. Ivanov currently is an Executive Director - Southern Europe of The Collins Group, Canada. He is in charge for the operation in Southern Europe, including Bulgaria. He was a Director of the U.S. investment company Nova Capital for the period of 2006 till 2009. Yolian Ivanov used to be National Director of a Bulgarian State Agency at the Bulgarian government in 2005.
Mr. Ivanov has been a Manager of Fidelity Global Group and Euro Fidelity in Southeast Europe, including Bulgaria since 1998 till 2004. He also served as an adviser to Bank of America in Bulgaria from 2001 to 2003.
In 1994, Mr. Ivanov was a founder of International Investment Group Eurocapital where he subsequently became Director Business Development, Executive Director and Vice Chairman of the Board between 1995 and 1998. He was responsible for corporate management, investment projects and maintaining relationship with foreign partners and shareholders. From 1994 to 1995, Mr. Ivanov was a head of department in the Privatization Agency, where he conducted investment promotion for Bulgarian privatization projects.
Mr. Ivanov has M&A experience in deals on the buy-side with Eurocapital and Euro Fidelity Capital Group and sell-side with the Privatization Agency in a number of Bulgarian privatization projects. He has also acted as an adviser in capital and investment matters to institutional investors since 1999.
He has had working assignments with Schroders Investment Bank and Gabelli Mutual Funds in New York, the World Bank and US Security and Exchange Commission in Washington, D.C., U.S.A.
Dr. Ivanov has economic and engineering background. He received a Ph.D. from the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, a Master's as a power engineer from the Technical University in Sofia. He also completed post-graduate specialization in Management of Investment Funds at Central European University, Czech Republic, intensive MBA course at Lancashire Business School, UK and International Economic Affairs at Georgetown University - School of Foreign Service, Washington, D.C., U.S.A.
Mr. Ivanov has been named to “Who's Who in the World”, “Who's Who in Finance and Industry”, "Who's Who in 20th Century America" and "World Outstanding Intellectuals of the 21st century" - Cambridge International Biographical Centre.
He is Bulgarian and U.S. permanent resident, and now lives in Sofia, Bulgaria.
